Here are this week’s action steps:

  1. Fill up the handout and write down you well-formed smart goal for the next 10 days.
  2. Visualize and write down your big MOFA. If you prefer to cut out some pictures for your MOFA, that works too.
  3. Post your goal and your big MOFA somewhere you can see everyday.

Remember to join the Facebook group.

Share your goal and your big MOFA. Ask your questions. I’ll be checking the group everyday.

DAY 6: Make New Friends

Handouts

Right-click on the link to the file you want to download. Choose “Save Target As …” or “Save Link As…”.

ACTION STEPS

  1. Research at least 5 networking events. Focus more on events where industry leaders and employees hang out.
  2. Register to those events and put them in your calendar.

Networking can be such a scary word. It doesn’t have to be. Another way of looking at it is that you’re making new friends. You’re not out there just to connect and ask people for openings. You’re making warm connections. I’ll cover more of this on Day 8.

Share how do you feel about networking in our Facebook group.

DAY 7: Some Like It Cold

  2. Research on decision makers and their contact information.
  3. Create a draft for your email to the decision makers using the handout. As you write about what interests you with their company, think about what the company stands for. You can find this in their websites.

Your cold emails should be tracked as well. Add this to your tracking sheet.

What do you think about cold emailing? Share this in our Facebook group.

How important do you think following-up is during our job search? Share in our Facebook group.

Winning!

Here’s a funny take on the think-positive “winning” philosophy from a webcomic I follow. I totally agree.
